Show Times

  • Division I - White Wool Sheep Show
          Saturday, Sept. 22nd 9:00 am

  • Division II - Natural Colored Wool Show
          Saturday, Sept. 22nd 1:00 pm

  • Division III - Classic Sheep Show*
          Sunday, Sept. 23rd 9:00 am

  • Diamond & Morris Culver Awards
          Sunday, Sept. 23rd 1:00 pm

  • Times are subject to change depending on individual show lengths.

    *Note: The Classic Division is designed to include old/rare wool breeds that normally are not shown in competition with the more conventional breeds. No preference will be given to color-only that it is pleasant or appropriate. Due to the heritage associated with classic sheep, they should be purebred.

    Fee:

    $6.50 per animal for show, exhibit and/or sale
    Fees double for entries postmarked after Sept. 1, 2007

    Awards and Trophies

    Ribbons through 5th place in all classes; Rosettes to Champions

    Cash prizes are awarded as donated.

    OFFF Diamond Award Trophy and $100 Cash Award to the Supreme Grand Champion Ram and Ewe

    Categories

    Sheep may be entered in only one category:

  • F - Fine Wool:
       spin count 60's and up(micron 24.94 and lower)

  • M - Medium Wool:
       spin count 50 -58 (micron 24.95-30.99)

  • L - Long/Coarse Wool:
       spin count 48 and lower (micron 31 and up)



  • Classes

    1 - Ram lambs (less than 12 months)
    2 - Ewe lambs (less than 12 months)
    3 - Yearling rams (less than 24 months)
    4 - Yearling ewes (less than 24 months)
    5 - * Best Flock, one ram and two ewes (any age)
    6 - * Best Fleece
    * Must have been shown in individual classes.

    Requirements

    Exhibitors are subject to all general livestock rules.
