Specific Cashmere Goat Show Rules (in addition to general OFFF livestock rules, the following rules apply):
- All Cashmere goats must have current year's clip present in the ring when showing, except kid goats.
- January 1st shall be used as the base date for computing ages.
- The Cashmere Goat Registry breed standards will be used.
- Diamond Award: Champion Buck and Grand Champion Doe entered
- All does in classes 7, 8, 9 & 10 must have produced offspring.
- Exhibitors are subject to all general livestock and show rules, including a maximum of two animals entered per class per exhibitor.
Judge: Mickey Nielsen - Mickey and her husband Cliff have been involved in raising quality show and breeding animals since high school where they were both active in FFA. In 1994 the Nielsen family began purchasing and breeding cashmere goats. Being trained in showing, breeding, and judging livestock Mickey knows the importance and value of good conformation in livestock and how to look for these qualities. Her herd of cashmere goats has taken many top awards over the years both in live goat shows and in fleece competitions judged by a variety of cashmere judges. Mickey has trained under, Cynthia Heeren, Kris McGuire, Joe David Ross, and Teri Sims.

Division V - All Other Fiber Goats
Saturday, Sept. 27th 12 noon

1 - Bucks, kid (born 2008)
2 - Does, kid (born 2008)
3 - Does, yearling (under 24 months)
4 - Does, (2-4 years)
5 - Best Herd * (1 buck and 2 does, any age; looking for consistency)
* Note: Animals must have been shown in another class.
Judge: Stan Sours has been breeding both white and colored Angora goats for 16 years. His current herd is the result of applied genetics in breeding for color and stock selection for herd improvement. At Ferncrest Farm in Round Mountain CA Stan and his wife Judy produce and market quality Angora goats, fleeces, rovings, yarns and hides nationwide. Stan brings a small scale farm perspective to the ring. He is a member, certified inspector and past president of the Colored Angora Goat Breeders Association. Stan has judged several Angora goat shows including the Antelope Valley Fair, Lancaster CA, CA. State Fair, Sacramento CA, and the NV State Fair, Reno NV.

Judge: Liza Sanford-Crane has been raising and breeding Pygora goats since she first became acquainted with them in 1995. She has been a PBA member since January, 1996. She was the membership secretary for a year, during which time she converted the PBA membership information into an Excel database. In February, 2004 Liza became a certified PBA Judge. She and her husband Henry and three children reside in Maryland where they raise Pygora goats and are very active in the local 4-H scene. She is delighted to return to the left coast once again to judge a Pygora goat show.
